Anything Good or Bad about Google Trusted Stores ?
-
We are looking to implement Google Trusted Stores. We don't use PPC but we think that the badge on our website will be helpful for us and our customers.
Do you have any experience, positive or negative, with Google Trusted Stores as either a merchant or a customer? I am looking for moz member experience before we make a commitment.
There have been some previous Q&A threads about Trusted Stores and a number of good articles on the web, including this one at SearchEngineLand. and this one at eConsultancy
Thanks for anything that you care to share.

Thanks EGOL, I'll take a look.
One of the articles I read said the Trusted Store reviews were only related to service, not actual products which is also very limited.
Mainly I was thinking the badge would be a plus for consumer confidence.
Thanks again!

Hello Chris,
We did not go with Google Trusted Stores. I thought that it would be very difficult to get a lot of reviews.
Instead we went with ShopperApproved and are happy with the results. We are getting our star ratings in the organic SERPs and the SA staff are very helpful.

Hi EGOL,
Wondering what you decided on this as we are also looking at it?
Doesn't seem to have a downside other than the setup and some additional tracking data sent to Google.
Best,

Thanks for sharing.

We're working on setting up our site as a trusted store. It makes sense that it would be a sign of trust for Google.

Tracking a Deposit Page Through Google Analytics: Which is a better way?
Good day to all, I do have game download website (Works like Google Play and Steam) and currently working on the deposit page which is payable by fund transfer and Paypal. The thing is I do not have a confirmation page that I can use to track all incoming successful and unsuccessful conversions for this deposit page. My question is, which is better to use for this kind of tracking a goal in Google Analytics? Are we going to use a virtual page or and event tracking method? How can I track users that visit the deposit page that weren't able to do a deposit attempt? Thanks for answering this question. Have a good day ahead.

Buy Facebook Likes for visitor trust?
I was curious if anyone ever considered buying Facebook likes to increase visitor trust. Our homepage has only 75 likes even though we are a leader within our industry. A smaller competitor has over 1,000. If all else is equal, I question whether this helps to influence trust amongst visitors and whether there is any value in doing some Fiverr deals to buy FB likes. My concern would be to be in Google's bad graces by them thinking we are doing this strictly for ranking. However, now that Google has declared that social signals are not a ranking factor, I feel this is less black hat and maybe something that Google won't care about. Thoughts?

I am confused on adding Google+ authorship markup to a multiauthor WP blog
The blog for a client is at http://blog.multiview.com . I am not sure how to tell them to add Google+ authorship tags to the site, and link the posts to the individual G+ profiles of each individual author. One source shows it is highly complex, seesee http://searchengineland.com/the-definitive-guide-to-google-authorship-markup-123218 However, in the Google webmaster account, there is a real simple explanation, i.e. https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/2539557?hl=en Considering that this is an area that is very murky for me, is one of these directives out of date? Is one preferable? How complicated would that be, for this particular blog?

Setting Up Ecommerce Tracking for Google Analytics?
Hello SEOmoz members, this is my first forum post, so i hope that it goes well. my question for today is, How can i set up set up Ecommerce Tracking for Google Analytics, if my website Does NOT use a Shopping Cart tool? I am currently SEO'ing a couple of Translation Service websites, and the Ordering System is a little different from the regular Shopping Cart tool that you would normally find on a Product website. so far i have added the analytics code to all the pages so i can track my SEO efforts, but is there no way to track the sales from each visitor if the website only provides Quotes? the website has a Quote form setup into 3 steps, and at the end of step 3, a general price is generated for the visitor and a CSR is supposed to contact them to completete the order. we can normally see the total orders and clients in our own system, but does anyone have any way to combine SEO with this information, like how google analytics Ecommerce can? if anyone could provide any helpful information, i would be very Greatful. thank you!

Can fun, slightly unprofessional text be good for conversion rates?
I operate on a freemium model. The three plans are currently called "Free", "Gold" and "Platinum". Besides being incredibly square and boring, these titles are also meaningless. I'm doing a slight redesign of my site, and the new (unreleased) site has a very fun, playful feel. I'm also trying to make everything more streamlined and obvious. I'm considering renaming the three plans "Boring Amateur", "Kick-Ass Amateur" and "Bona Fide Professional" on the registration page and simply "Boring", "Kick-Ass" and "Professional" elsewhere. There are lots of places on the site where I have to refer to "amateurs" vs "professionals" - these tags would make that easier to explain. Easier = more sales. What do you think about using unprofessional text like this? Is it too risky, possibly offending too many people and losing sales? Or is it a good eye-catcher? I know the best answer is "test it." But this is one of those changes that I don't want to have to put my users through too many times. Thanks for any thoughts!

I am playing around with the pages and would love to see some good examples of adsense pages that work. If anyone can give me advice on the following page and let me know what is wrong or right with this page to help me understand where i am going wrong, then that would be great. Why does Google only show the review stars for some listings in the Places results
I have a client who shows up in the Places results for his targeted keyword phrase, but one of his competitors' listing shows 5 gold stars next to the reviews which causes him to stand out visually. I was under the impression that at one time the stars only showed for listings that had official Google reviews, but the other listings in the results also have "Google Reviews" but no stars.

Reviews not shown on google search & seller rating extensions (adwords)
Hello, we have 2 questions, regarding reviews from rating websites. 1. Reviews on google Search We have several reviews for our website www.theprintspace.co.uk from various rating sites (e.g. qype, yelp, remotegoat, etc.). When searching for theprintspace on google, only some reviews and only some rating website are shown, most are not. For qype, for instance, we have 8 reviews, but google only indicates that we have 3. The yelp reviews (and many others) are not shown at all. According to google, it takes a maximum of 2 months for the correct number of reviews to be shown on google, but the reviews have been online for over 2 months now. Is there any way this problem can be solved, so google shows the correct number of reviews? 2. Seller rating extensions on google adwords We would like the reviews to be displayed in our google adwords as a seller rating extension. These will include the merchant star rating for advertisers that are highly rated on Google Product Search. We are setting up a google merchant account to do so. Google says: "Ratings are based on the user reviews collected by Google Product Search, which aggregates reviews from a broad base of sources across the web, including Reseller Ratings, Bizrate, ReviewCentre.com and Viewpoints." Do you know if the following rating website are in google's "base of sources" and will thus be recognised and used in google adwords as rating extensions? Yelp Qype Scoot Remotegoat viewlondon tipped Or does google only source from big e-commerce rating websites? How do we get the ratings into our adwords? Thank you for your help!
