Quickest way to build links?
-
I'm in furniture e-commerce. I'm not new to e-commerce but I am new to SEO as I used to just hire everything out.
What is the quickest way to build or should I say earn links? So far I've just been contacting bloggers and I've built about 4 links through guest posts in the past month. The problem is I can't tell if this is good or bad. I also contacted a niche directory and they liked my content so they are going to include my website in their directory for free next week.
Should I continue doing what I'm doing?
Do I need to be more aggressive?
Suggestions?
Thanks guys.

In my opinion there are no quick or easy ways to build links after Google's Penguin update.
A better question would be: "How to build the highest quality links?".- or - "How to earn links from high quality sources?"

There are widely varying opinions on guest posts, so be very careful with them. Even if you only do high quality posts on high quality sites related to your industry, they cannot be the sole focus of your link building campaign. I cannot tell you what percentage of guest posts links is acceptable (frankly, no one can for sure), but just make sure the majority of your links do not come from there.
Directories (on a general level) do not help a whole lot, but a nice niche one is fine.
I'm tempted to say "you should always be more aggressive," but that is only if you are sure your content is "high quality" (I know, that generic description frustrates me too, but I don't know how else to say it). You don't want to get someone willing to take a look at linking to your site, only for that person to be disappointed.
Lastly, put your top competitors' sites into OSE, and see who they are linking to. Evaluate what links they have that are good/bad/ugly, and see where you stand. You may want to go after some of the same ones, you may not. You may get some ideas for how to get similar links from better sites, as well.
For some people, link building is an absolute breeze...I find it the hardest part about SEO. But, just keep your head down, keep churning out quality RCS, and they will come.
Good luck and Happy Friday!

Link building - anyone use this technique?
I have had a client come and ask me to do some link building, they are wanting to use a strategy of buying expired domains and creating a single page website with some keyword links back to the main website. Seems like an old idea at best, has anyone used it or is it risky

Outsourced Link Building
Hello, I'm pretty sure everyone will just tell me to do the link building myself, but the truth is I don't have time. I've looked at link building firms in the past (and even used one), and they were all pretty dodgy. What should I look for in a quality link builder? What costs do you think are reasonable for a quality link? Is there anything you wish you'd known before going down a similar path? Thanks in advance for any help!

Looking to outsource some of our link building...
Hi Everyone, We are a small online marketing firm in the UK and we are starting to hit a bit of a bottleneck in terms of the resources that we have that can be devoted to link building. As a result, we need to outsource the link building for some of our clients (around 10). Obviously, we only want ethical, white hat link building to take place and it really is a focus on quality rather than quantity. As you can imagine, being a fairly small firm, we also have a very limited budget! We would ideally like to work with UK link builders but would definitely look at overseas partnerships if it worked out more cost effective and the standard of the link building meets our standards. Just so that I'm not wasting anyone's time, we have a budget of around £200-300 for this (I know, its a very limited budget!). I understand that with this budget comes limitations so we would be more than willing at looking at some stripped down packages (for example, we already have in-house bloggers, so we wouldn't need that). Let me know if you are interested or if you would be able to recommend anyone to me. It would be a great help. Matt

My website is having around 170 K webpages and every web page is meant for individual keyword. e.g. keyword for every page is height of a movie star. What should be my link building strategy Should I link other sites to index page of my website (if yes then what should be the anchor text) ? Should I link other websites to individual web pages of my website.

Traditional link requests still the right way?
Is the traditional way of link building wherein we send requests for two way or three way links still important? I feel posting articles, blog commenting, blog posting, forum commenting etc are better means to build links... but since I am still new to this industry I may be wrong. Please suggest.

Selling link building - Show me the money !
Week after week we get enquiries for Link building services. Time and time again we are losing out on contracts and deals... My stance - We work on your site for a period of time doing link building so 2 days in the month a link building member will research competitors , yadi , yadi, ya 🙂 You get the picture right... But the customers are being told by less scrupulous companies the numbers of links they will receive. Impossible unless you are buying them right ? So it reaches that point when you start questioning being 100% honest... What advice would you give me on selling link building services...
