Facebook Shops Stats

Has anybody used a Facebook Shop for ecommerce? Had a client get contacted by a company pitching that to them the other day, and the most recent research I've been able to dig up about it is from way back in 2012. Just wondering if it's worth looking into.
Thanks!

One of effective for you is Multi-Product Ads. his feature was designed to do three things: generate more website visitors, drive better conversion rates, and improve re-marketing results. You can see how to create it at http://blog.litextension.com/how-to-create-multi-product-ads-on-facebook/

I haven't personally used it, but I've seen places that utilize it (https://www.shopify.com/facebook). I don't know how many people actually buy things directly from social media, since the whole point of social media is to establish connections and have conversations. It could be worth checking out depending on the niche your client is in, but I have my doubts these stores within social platforms are actually profitable.
It looks like it's not too hard to set up within Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/business/news/shopping-on-facebook - so why not explore setting this up in conjunction with a FB ads package for your client instead of having another company run it? Also according to Buzzfeed this seems to be Facebook's next big push - http://www.buzzfeed.com/alexkantrowitz/facebook-takes-big-step-forward-on-commerce-builds-shops-int#.pt12yovez
I'm interested to see if anyone has seen any success with this yet.

Have you notice that more you spend on a Facebook boost, less you make?
On a Facebook page I manage it has been noticed or atleast argued that the more you spend on a boost for a specific day the less conversion it makes. for example: spending 10 euro/dollars on a boost would give: 160 likes, 6 comments, but by spending 40 euro/dollars would give nearly the same: 170 likes, 7 comments we have run this a few times with similar outcomes.. Any ideas or did you have a similar outcome?

Is anyone aware of stats stating how many people abandon pages the deeper they get in a site?
For example, let's say someone enters via a landing page, and instead of having a form there is a button to a form. What percentage of people will click the button and fill out the form vs if the form was right there on the page? Basically, I am trying to figure out what percentage of users do websites lose for every click a user makes on the site.

Tracking Facebook Mobile Visits to Desktop Conversions?
Hi. If I set an ad in Facebook, I can obviously track visits, conversions and so on from that ad and see if they where mobile or desktop. However, how do I, if possible track a mobile visitor who the converts on a desktop? Eg. I go on XXX Facebook Ad on my mobile whilst in work, look around. Like what I see. Then I go home from work, open my laptopn and go on XXX website and send an email enquiry form in. Is this possible to track? Thanks

Buy Facebook Likes for visitor trust?
I was curious if anyone ever considered buying Facebook likes to increase visitor trust. Our homepage has only 75 likes even though we are a leader within our industry. A smaller competitor has over 1,000. If all else is equal, I question whether this helps to influence trust amongst visitors and whether there is any value in doing some Fiverr deals to buy FB likes. My concern would be to be in Google's bad graces by them thinking we are doing this strictly for ranking. However, now that Google has declared that social signals are not a ranking factor, I feel this is less black hat and maybe something that Google won't care about. Thoughts?

Has anyone heard about Facebook's Revenue Problems? Duh right. Well have you seen how they are losing money yet?!?!
So about a year ago now (maybe more/less), Facebook changed the way their ads are displayed. On the desktop version of Facebook (for me at least), the Sponsored ads in the right sidebar display anywhere between 3 and 7 ads at a time. Well in the case of 7 ads, that is a lot of ads to look at and read through. All seems pretty ok right?? Well, here is the problem. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen an ad that interests me, and then read through the others below them, then before I can go back to click on the one that interested me, the ads automatically refresh, and I don't get to click on the ad. Maybe they figure that by refreshing ads, it gets them more chances to catch your interest, and that the value of that is higher than the value of me getting to click what I wanted. (It kinda upset me honestly. I thumbs down things that tease me.) Either way, they could have both. My solution? A small button that you can click to view the ads that were previously displayed. (imagine how much money that could bring them. Especially if I saw the ad yesterday, left the window open for 24 hours with the computer on, and just sat there clicking until i found it. You are BOUND to find MORE ads that interest you, and click on those too.) ((ok, ok, ok, maybe 24 hours is a little ridiculous, but at least SOME amount of time and a button is necessary)) If we were really going to build a marketing playground, then we could also throw in a "More Like This" button. It would open the doors to some AMAZING data. Full to the brim with advertisement related feedback coming happily from your users. When you are talking about positioning your brand, it doesn't get much more important than to talk to them while they are enjoying themselves. (i.e. they click button, and next page has 10 links. you show the links, based on how many times people are clicking them. Not to mention, when you are that big, you can look at the value of what they do immediately after, the next day, and even the next week, and really tell what is the most valueable add, in terms of egagement, and further CTRs and Conversions for later in your relationship ) Anyways, I thought everyone would find that interesting, and hopefully it would inspire some people to get analytical with their thoughts today. Do you think that Facebook could use some conversion rate optimization? Do you think that Facebook could be doing more than they are to make more money? Do you think that Facebook (being such a powerful site), could make a lot of money by implementing an SEO/Content strategy?

61.45% Shopping Cart Abandon Rate - How to troubleshoot?
Hello MozPeeps! I wanted to see if I could get some help on the best method for troubleshooting our abandoned shopping cart funnel. Maybe point me in the best areas to research, or what are the best tools to use, or an improved method for analyzing and interpreting the existing data for more clarity about what is happening. I have attached the screen shot that shows what's going on. This account is using a Magento shopping cart with a custom built checkout page that is trying to copy Overstock.com's checkout page. Here are my thoughts: 1. Use Clicktale to monitor the checkout pages in question to try and get a feel for what people are doing or why they are clicking off? 2. Use another tool (not sure which one) that allows us to monitor page load speeds for the checkout process to see if orders are being hung up by slow loading pages. 3. Or, maybe 62% is not an uncommon abandoned cart rate and therefore we should just focus on automating abandoned cart follow up emails for the customers. Thanks in advance for any help! funnel-goal-visualization.jpg

Analytics for Facebook
I'd like to use an analytics program to track Facebook like conversion. I've tried just putting the code on the page that I'm framing in. I'm getting some activity, but it definitely isn't tracking correctly. Anybody had any luck installing Google analytics or another tracking program on an FB fan page? I asked this question last week and didn't get an answer, so It'd be nice if one of the SEOmoz guys could chime in.
