Pages for similar keywords?
-
I have a site that wants to target the keywords listed below. They are a small company with just a few ski chalets in Val d'Isere, a ski resort in France. They don't have ski chalets in any other ski resort.
Val d'Isere chalets
luxury ski chalets
luxury ski chalets Val d'Isere
catered chalet Val d'Isere
catered chalet val d isere
catered ski chalet val d'isere
catered ski chalets
chalets in Val d'isere
chalets in val d isere
luxury catered ski chalets
luxury ski chaletsTheir domain name includes "valdisere" but I can't get this site onto Page 1, it keeps lingering on Page 2 and 3.
I wondered how you would approach this site with pages? Would you reply on the homepage to rank for all these terms or create seperate pages for the terms, and if so how would you group the terms per page?

Hi,
Those keywords are all essentially the same thing, maybe with the exception of 'catered' and 'luxury', but even then, you'd have a hard time writing unique enough content for those 2 variation sets. If you tried to write content for each of those keywords individually, you'd end up with almost identical content, worded slightly different. If the only thing this client does is ski chalets, you'd probably be better served to use the home page as your target URL for these terms.
As for additional content, I'd recommend a blog or FAQ section that provides additional information about the area, attractions, things to do, etc.
The domain name won't play a role in ranking, that's an old SEO tactic that Google squashed years ago. There are many other things that could be preventing your site from getting to the first page, like overall site quality, backlink profile, the list goes on and on....

Unsolved How to add geo keyword without it looking keyword stuffed
I'm updating my mobile home inspection page and I want to add geo keywords with my seed keyword Mobile Home Inspections. How do I add these so that the page do not look like it keyword stuffed? Is there a technique that you use for this? I was thinking something like internal links to the City pages of have but then the Anchor text landing page would be a cite page and not a mobile home inspection page.

Is it better to keep a glossary or terms on one page or break it up into multiple pages?
We have a very large glossary of over 1000 industry terms on our site with links to reference material, embedded video, etc. Is it better for SEO purposes to keep this on one page or should we break it up into multiple pages, a different page for each letter for example? Thanks.

Page rank question
Hi all, pretty standard SEO question that I'm sure you are all getting asked day in, day out... the following page: http://www.3wisemonkeys.co.uk/dvd/portable-dvd-player-car/ It's targetting keywords "portable dvd", "portable DVD player", "portable DVD players" & "portable dvd player for car". The page gets a grade A via Moz analytics On-page grader for the keywords. We have incoming links and I believe the page is structured correctly with all meta tags, H1 etc and tried not too overload the tags with keywords. We have the keywords in the URL etc. We are still stuck on page 2 for all phrases. Any thoughts or suggestions as to what we are doing wrong please? Any help would be great.

Form Only Pages Considered No Content/Duplicate Pages
We have a lot of WordPress sites with pages that contain only a form. The header, sidebar and footer content is the same as what's one other pages throughout the site. Each form page has a unique page title, meta description, form title and questions but the form title, description and questions add up to probably less than 100 words. Are these form pages negatively affecting the rankings of our landing pages or being viewed as duplicate or no content pages?

Should you use long tail keyword phrases in page names
for example if I was trying to rank for "spokane furnace repair" is it good or bad to name the page something like "spokane-furnace-repair.html"

Page architecture
We have some good content on our site, particularly relating to UK employment law. One section on unfair dismissal is split into 9 pages - there is a fair amount of legal detail. The question is whether we should combine it all into one "mother of all unfair dismissal" page just to satisfy the Google monster or keep in as it is. Some of the individual pages rank on page 1 already. If we change the architecture are 301 redirects the best way to handle the changing urls? The other more important issue is whether it is easier to read it all on one page or split it. Keeping G happy may not actually keep our users happy. As the content is quite dense we want to ensure we don't overload people. Any thoughts appreciated.

Links to Product pages
Hello all, I am still rather new to SEO and learning a lot every day. I do have a question. On our product search result pages (example http://shop.ferguson.com/search/bathroom-lighting)
On-Page Optimization | | Ferguson
It is currently set up so the image, text, price etc of a product is linking to that product page. Our question is, if we were to link the image and the product name - will this be seen as two links to the same page? Is this a bad thing having multiple links to the same page? I searched around to see how other ecommerce sites have similar pages setup and it seems they link the image and also the product name, and the description is not click-able, which allows a user to "Highlight" the text (this is not possible on ours) Which would be to correct approach for SEO as well as User Interface, the way we have it set up, or by going with the method of the question I asked, Thank you for any information on this!
