Facebook Pixel Installation
-
We are looking to setup conversion tracking for an Ad on Facebook.
Upon selecting the Ad objective as a conversion, the pixel code is eventually provided.
However, we are unsure, do we put this pixel code in:
-
In the head tags of the header.php of our Wordpress website
-
In the head tags of the page where a conversion is recored (i.e. the Thank You page of our website)?
If it is the second option, is there a Wordpress plugin that will enable this to be easily done?
Thank you for helping us clarify this!

Thanks for everyone's responses here, we appreciate it. We will use GTM to install the pixel and will also try Duracel Tom's plugin for our Wordpress site.

Agree completely with Sean. Use GTM.
Are you using the 'new' facebook pixel?
If so, the pixel goes on all pages and then you place the conversion pixel (with your standard event) on the Thank You Page.
Having the pixel on every page also allows you to remarket to visitors.
Duracel Tom's plugin is a good one to install GTM on your site.

Hey there,
I would say the easiest way to do this would be through Google Tag Manager. If you can put the container on all pages of your website, it has a bunch of support for adding 3rd party tags (such as Facebook, Twitter etc.) within the interface and you can add your tag and deploy the container in seconds.
All the best,
Sean

Facebook conversions - issue in calculation
Hi, I have a few campaigns for conversions on Facebook, but any of them don't show to me real numbers. There are 4 times more conversions on Facebook than in GA. I did a little research. The problem is that - Facebook pixel calculates all possible conversions from all sources, and because my campaign results are wrong e.g.: Facebook campaign results: Conversions: 10 | Cost per conversion: 1 GA for that campaign (real numbers): Conversions 1 | Cost per conversion: 1 GA from all campaigns and sources: 10 It's that correct? Pls help. Br. Marco

Following on LinkedIn & Liking on Facebook, Will it Facilitate Advertising to a Specific Target Market?
My commercial real estate brokerage ie firm is targeting very specific lists of businesses. We send them emails regarding specific properties. For instance email to partners in law firms with 1-10 employees in the 10017 zip code. Response from email has been maybe a decent customer for every 1,500 emails. But it is inexpensive. We would like to try to reinforce and enhance the results by perhaps using social media tools such as LinkedIn and Facebook. Would it help us eventually advertise to our very specific segments if we Facebook like the individuals we are targeting? We would like both the individuals and the company pages. Any utility to this? We would also follow the individuals on LinkedIn. In a perfect world we could advertise posts of below market, especially desirable properties to our target market; the same people we are emailing to on a regular basis. We are generating the emails through a CRM called "ZOHO" which we find very useful. Is it worthwhile to add a social media element to our marketing effort? While the email has been very inexpensive and shows signs or being effective, the amount of effort to compile the lists and set up ZOHO was monumental. Looking forward to feedback, thanks everyone!!!

Have you notice that more you spend on a Facebook boost, less you make?
On a Facebook page I manage it has been noticed or atleast argued that the more you spend on a boost for a specific day the less conversion it makes. for example: spending 10 euro/dollars on a boost would give: 160 likes, 6 comments, but by spending 40 euro/dollars would give nearly the same: 170 likes, 7 comments we have run this a few times with similar outcomes.. Any ideas or did you have a similar outcome?

Tracking Facebook Mobile Visits to Desktop Conversions?
Hi. If I set an ad in Facebook, I can obviously track visits, conversions and so on from that ad and see if they where mobile or desktop. However, how do I, if possible track a mobile visitor who the converts on a desktop? Eg. I go on XXX Facebook Ad on my mobile whilst in work, look around. Like what I see. Then I go home from work, open my laptopn and go on XXX website and send an email enquiry form in. Is this possible to track? Thanks

Buy Facebook Likes for visitor trust?
I was curious if anyone ever considered buying Facebook likes to increase visitor trust. Our homepage has only 75 likes even though we are a leader within our industry. A smaller competitor has over 1,000. If all else is equal, I question whether this helps to influence trust amongst visitors and whether there is any value in doing some Fiverr deals to buy FB likes. My concern would be to be in Google's bad graces by them thinking we are doing this strictly for ranking. However, now that Google has declared that social signals are not a ranking factor, I feel this is less black hat and maybe something that Google won't care about. Thoughts?
