I want to update the Key words in my title tag. But i'm afraid of what might happen:(
-
Hello everyone,
My Insurance agency ranks high in searches, but the key words in our Title Tag aren't very well optimized at all.
It's too long, in the wrong order, there's duplicate's and the Key words aren't even in there?!
So, I want to update the home page, as well as all the other pages that are having the same problem.
I'm hoping that because we've been ranked in the top 3 for over 3 years and I blog 3-4 times a month, and all my Off-page seo is on point, I shouldn't see to much of a drop?
I'm changing my title from this: General liability, Commercial building, Workers Comp, Truck, Auto Insurance in Dallas, Texas - - Thumann Agency
**To this: **Business & Home Insurance Dallas, Texas | Thumann Agency.
Please share you thoughts with me, good idea or not?
Many thanks in advance! )

Thank you, Dmitrii. I like that approach and I will defiantly take it on board.

Howdy.
Here is my question - if you rank that well, why would you chance it?
If you do have to change it though, here is my advise. Find a longer tail page with lower traffic share, which is ranking at the bottom of first page or so. Change the title only on that page, request manual recrawl through Google Search Console. See how the rankings change. If position do not change, or improve, do another test, but on a larger scale - 10-20 pages. Monitor their ranking. And then go full speed

I'm finding it difficult to make a decision on keywords to select to target for new site?
Hi, I'm doing keyword research for a small site and followed the standard keyword process of using Ahrefs and Google's keyword planner tools to see what keywords are being searched for my service. There are keywords that have a higher avg monthly search volume but they are aren't as relevant as ones that include the word cheap or affordable for example but those ones are only 300 monthly searches per month which seems very small for the main page of the site. Any advice what I should do in this scenario? Do I choose a more relevant keyword with lower search volume or go for one with much higher avg monthly search volume which is much more competitive?

How can I tell if Google considers two words to mean the same thing
For example, "wives" and "brides" They're often interchangeable, but given context they can still mean fairly different things. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Hello everyone, It's my first time asking a question here, so I hope I follow the rules. Let me know if my question is not properly asked, formatted etc. Question: What's the min # of words we should have on topic page (related links)? Also, let me know if you have any additional advice with regards to topic pages strategy. Thanks!

Lawyers or Solicitors when Key word research feels like splitting hairs
Buongiorno from 16 Degrees C wetherby UK 🙂 What if a client wants to rank for commercial solcitors & commercial lawyers regardless of the best argument you could present. Isee this as a problem as semanticall lawyers & solicitors semantically mean the same thing like ATM & cashpoint, cab & taxi So your left stuck with two phrases both menaing the same thing and you have to create physical web pages. Can I get your input on keyword usage in the title tag
Hello fellow mozzers! I've been struggling with my title tag and would like to get your opinion. We provide IT services in the Los Angeles area. I've been doing keyword research for the past week and found about 400 keywords from various sources. I then looked at my top 5 competitors on Google and analyzed their homepage title tags, the most common keywords that they use in their title tags are: IT Support Los Angeles

Computer Support Los Angeles
Network Consulting Los Angeles
Network Support Los Angeles
IT Services Los Angeles Since it is recommended to have your title tag under 70 characters I've compiled the following title tag for my home page: IT Services, Network Consulting, IT and Network Support in Los Angeles which is exactly 70 characters, however my company name is an additional 9 characters, I think it would be wise to include in the title tag of the home page however I can't decide if I should exceed the limit by including the company name to the title tag or should I remove something from the title tag and then add the company name? 1. What do you guys think, is that a good title tag to use as is? 2. Should I add the company name without removing any keywords or remove a keyword? 3. I'm trying to target local traffic since I can't compete with the big dogs yet, so I want to be in the SERPs when someone searches IT Services Los Angeles, IT Support Los Angeles, etc... Do I need to add Los Angeles after each keyword, or I can use a single instance of Los Angeles like in the example title tag that I have? 4. For the other remaining 400+/- keywords I want to use some of them to create static pages and some for blog posts, is that the way to go? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!!!0 -
Google update going to cause problems for me and maybe you!
Hi, I got a warning come up today in my Adwords account about exact and phrase match being updated to include misspellings etc Read more here: https://support.google.com/adwords/bin/answer.py?hl=en-GB&answer=2537522 Now I use the Google keyword tool to research into exact match terms for SEO, gives me an idea of the search volumes I could potentially receive. If Google adds misspellings, singular and plural forms, acronyms, stemmings etc this will change the data in the Keyword tool not giving accurate figures on the EXACT term. Any thoughts?

Capitals in Title tags and meta descriptions and their effect on SEO
It often the case that a page of serps will show up very similar title tags eg Cheap Widgets | Widgetsrus.com format, written partly for humans and partly for SEO.. Although against Googles best practice and indeed a violation of their adwords policy would using in CAPS in title tags reduce ranking (whilst increasing visibility and CTR)?

Keyword Dulication in Tags
As I mostly work with Belgian/Dutch customers, my keywords are often in Dutch. We have a lot of composite words such as "hooikoortsklachten" or "hooikoortverwachting". If i were to create a Page Title with content: Hooikoortsklachten | hooikoortsverwachting Is this parly duplicated (because of the word hooikoorts x2)? or does Google only consider the entire word? Insights would be much appreciated! Thanks
