Why are Internal, nofollowed links good for Domain Authority?
-
I always thought that internal links should be 'followed' to preserve link-juice.
I've just been checking my Domain Authority Links overview, and the competitor with the most no-follow internal links has been rewarded with a higher Moz DA score.
Can anyone explain why this would be the case? -
Thanks for your answers.
I'll assume then that 'Internal Nofollow links' are included in the Links Overview report more for information, than as a factor that goes towards DA.
I think I was confused because the competitors website had Internal Nofollow highlighted in green with a tick (see image in OP), that made me think it was included as a factor in DA.

Hi there!
Thanks so much for the great question! Sorry for any confusion here. The new model is based on links that come from external pages only. We have a great resource all about the new DA model that may help as well: https://moz.com/domain-authority-2.0
We also have a great resource in our Learning Center that talks more about DA as well: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority
And we have a great blog post that talks more about the new DA score which may be helpful: https://moz.com/blog/comprehensive-analysis-domain-authority
I hope that helps to clarify! If you have any other questions or you need anything else, please feel free to email us at help@moz.com.

This a situation where I would be examining the external link profile to determine how their deep linking is going. There is a good chance they are linking to many more internal urls than you. Recorded a quick video with some info.
This is where SEO gets fun!

I bought a domain name https://ez1.in and it has a high MOZ spam score. Although it is because of the previous webmaster who used this domain as a URL shortening website. But now I am using it as a service delivery website. I wanted to know once a domain is deleted and ready to resell MOZ doesn't update its Spam score? Or it has periodic updates that are scheduled? How does the whole process work?

Is MOZ any good to analyze an e-commerce site? How come that a cms page can be seen as duplicate content with a category page?
Hi Guys, I've been using Moz for quite a long time now for 2 of my shops. Now I am in the process of launching the second shop and I just don't understand how is it possible that a cms static page (About US) to be seen as a duplicate content with other 96 pages - including product pages and other totally different pages such as delivery information, category pages, returns and so on. Really MOZ?? Is it me or you?? Your help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Performed a Moz Crawl Test - Says I have 107 External Links on Homepage??
Hello Mozzers! Exactly at the title suggests, I performed a crawl test on one our sites and the report says we have 107 external links on the homepage and another 34 on one of our internal category pages. On both of these pages I can only find 7 external links, anyone know why the crawl test is saying this? And if Moz is finding these external links could google be doing the same and punishing our site for the high number of external links? Any response appreciated! Richard

Does anyone have a good article or video on how to read the SEO MOZ crawl report column by column?
I am trying to find a good how-to on how to read and analyze each column of the SEO MOZ crawl report, specifically, the excel sheet it allows you to export. What I'm really trying to get to the bottom of is what the "Yes" indiciates under rel-cononical. If it says "yes," does this mean that the link in question has been canonoicalized?

Is there a good local competitive analysis tool for the UK
Hello Mozers I have learnt from the forum about the competitive analysis tool http://www.51blocks.com/online-marketing-tools/free-local-analysis/ and followed the link - only to find that it is for the US. I'm in the UK and need to access this for google.uk - does anyone know of a UK equivalent? Could I also check with the forum to ask the question that got me into this in the first place. It's probably a daft question. For the Ranking report in Moz, do I just need to put the local city name in front of the keyword to get the local rank. I have been doing this and assuming it's ok, and my local ranking does show up. Thanks Catherine

Tracking a domain with multiple locations
Esteemed Marketers of the Moz community, We'd like to track a domain that has a separate web presence for specific locations. In other words, the business has multiple locations in NJ and one in NYC. Any tips and tricks to track how we're doing in the rankings for both NJ and NY? Thanks Much, Paul
