My Company Doesn't Appear in the Search Results on the Right When I Search for It
-
Hello,
I just found that one of my companies (iFix Appliances) doesn't show on the right in search results when I search for it. I found it accidentally, I just wanted to check if it shows Request a Quote button as recently I enabled messaging on GMB. Yet it's not there at all. Could you please help me figure out what happened and why it's not there? Is something wrong with its GMB listing? I have two locations so I created 2 GMB listings for one company. Is this something that might have caused the issue?

Hi VELV,
So glad you came back to the thread. Can you clarify some things for me, please?
-
Is this your company: https://www.ifixappliancesla.com/
-
Is it in any way related to this company: http://ifixappliancerepair.com/

When you are searching for just "iFix Appliances" and not seeing either your Van Nuys or Beverly Hills Google Business Profile come up, where are you physically located when doing those searches? If you are standing in your location in Van Nuys and doing the search, what do you see? And the same with Beverly Hills. Is there absolutely no Google Business Profile (what you called the knowledge panel) coming up even if you are standing in the location of each while searching?
-
When you do add the geo-modifier (Van Nuys or Beverly Hills) does the GBP then come up?
-
How long ago did you create the listings for these 2 locations?

Hi,
Thank you for your reply! It's been verified, all the details are correct. I searched for iFix Appliances. It is usually enough for other local companies to show up in the Knowledge Panel when you search for them by their names (Titan Pavers, Colossal Builders, etc, ), I don't have to add Los Angeles for them to appear in the Knowledge Panel. This is so confusing.

Oh I'm so sorry for the late response. The company is called iFix Appliances,
one location is 8383 Wilshire Blvd, Ste 800, Beverly Hills, CA 90211, another one is 13442 Vose St
Van Nuys, CA 91405. -

Hi VELV,
Did you see the responses from don_quixote and Miriam Ellis. Please provide us with the requested details (or an update on this situation if it's been resolved) so we can help you. Thanks!

Hey There!
Be glad to take a look. Please, let me know, what are the locations of your two businesses (street, city, state, zip). Thanks!

Hi
So first has the GMB listing been verified? Secondly is the address and all details correct? So a branded search for a generic type brand word may not appear - but if you add the city afterward it does. Can you tell us what you searched?

Google is surfacing non-urgent care facilities for urgent care searches on Google Maps. How can I fix this?
I work for a large healthcare system in Utah. Google Maps is showing one of our non-urgent care clinics on searches for our branded urgent care locations ("InstaCare" is the branded term). From what I can tell, the only reason this is happening is because of a global footer on the clinic's website that links back to the urgent hub (see Imgur link for what I mean). Here's the clinic's site: https://intermountainhealthcare.org/locations/south-sandy-clinic/ Is there any way to get Google to stop doing this? Short of deleting the link in the global footer, of course. That's a no go. Thanks in advance! 5S4Jalw.png?1

Search Visibility Dip
Hello, During the site crawl in the week of Jan 29th, my site experienced a somewhat significant dip in search visibility. While all my dashboards for the brand experienced a dip, it was most noticeable in a dashboard focused on a specific region. Overall, I didn't make any major changed to the site, nor did the competitors I'm tracking. FWIW, the competitors I'm tracking stayed steady and didn't move up or down in visibility during my dip. I stay fairly up-to-date with SEO best practices and I don't believe there were any algorithm changes during this time. Now, there is one possible reasoning for this dip. Sometime before the week of Jan 29th, we began a new web promotion. To track this promotion, I added some minor JavaScript in the header. This additional JavaScript did slow the site speed slightly, but only to a rating of "Average" based on PageSpeed Insights. Does anyone have any insights as to why my site may have suffered a dip during the week of Jan 29th? Thanks.

How does Google choose the photo added above a Google+ result?
When I do a brand name search for a client, it pulls their G+ info into the right side bar and it adds three images above the G+ info. One is a photo, one is the Streetview, and one is the Google Maps results. On this particular client, the photo being pulled is from Google Images and not from the G+ page. Their G+ page is verified and has 17 photos in it, none of which are this particular photo. Please advise.

Phone number inconsistencies - local search
Hi, Can you help me with something that is probably straightforward? A website which displays a different phone number to visitors to the one in the source code is using this for tracking purposes I assume? Since the phone number in the source code matches with the local citations I am assuming that there is no harm here in terms of local ranking? Thanks

Branding Accuracy for Local Search
Hello Mozzers! We have a hotel client who's brand is, say "The Moz". However, they appear online with a few different variations, e.g. "The Moz", "Moz Hotel", _"The Moz Hotel". _In the past, we have tried to include the word "hotel" in client names on local listings, for search purposes. However, does branding accuracy trump what may end up being a small gain in search? Thanks for your thoughts! Frank

Local Search - Multiple Locations, do i link the home page or the inner page?
Hello, For a business with multiple locations that has a web url built for each location such as: Website.com/miami Website.com/los-angeles For local search (Google+, Yelp, etc), is it best to link the local search pages to the specific page of that location? Or is the homepage sufficient enough? I ask that because it is ALREADY touch getting NATURAL links to a location page, so would local search do me good by linking to the exact page of the location?

Google Local Search
I have a customer who is frustrated that Google local search seems to favor businesses that are closer to the center of the city. He wants to be on the local results area on the SERP with his (keyword + city, state). His website is optimized, Google+ is using the keywords, more reviews than his competition and his MOZ local rating is 88.. It seems the only problem is his business is on the edge of town(same zip code). Google fills the local search area with businesses that are "downtown". Is there a way to overcome this?

Google won't index my site?
Hi, I've just signed up and am new to SEO. I placed my site live around mid December 2013. Initially I got 2 pages indexed but now not even they show up for site:www.traditional-cleaning.co.uk. According the Moz analytics I have 3 pages with duplicate content which are: http://traditional-cleaning.co.uk/http://traditional-cleaning.co.uk/index.htmhttp://traditional-cleaning.co.ukProblem is I have no idea how to fix this, don't know whether Google isn't indexing my site because of this and generally am a bit stuck! Can anyone have a quick look at my site and give me a push in the right direction?
