My ranking on some keywords is getting better . Now what about geography!
-
Hi, I finally got a better result on my ranking on specific keyword. Now, here is what I need to do.
Just to place you in context, we have acquired 2 companies in Europe since last year ( One in the UK and one in France ) and our head office is in North America. Since our servers are located in NA, I realize the ranking will be better here on specific keywords than it is in the UK and France. I actually managed to get on the first page on google North America, but I am till very var in ranking in France and the UK.
Where should I start to get a worldwide ranking ? I could start on the 2 geography mentionned but is there a strategy to get ranked worldwide ?
Any help would be appreciated.
Best regards,

If you have offices in each country, make sure you have the contact details on the site, and add them to Google Places if appropriate. Build links from each of your targeted countries.
Is it possible to add the fr (for French) language meta tag to the translated content? Obviously UK English and American English vary too, so your site content will tell Google etc. it's for a US audience, but such sites can rank well worldwide
There are a couple of older posts worth reading here:

No, I only have one main domain. There is French and English translation on the web site. I have once activated the geotarget option in the google tools but realized that I could affect the current ranking in North America. I've put it back to default.
Should we have other local domain liker .co.uk and .fr site for geotargeting ? What is the best way to geotarget in multiple countries. ?

are they on separate domains? What are their TLD's .com or co.uk and .fr?
concentrate on geo-targeting for the countries. You'll never get worldwide rankings for the FR site for instance because it's in French, it will only be displayed in Google France.
"Since our servers are located in NA, I realize the ranking will be better here on specific keywords than it is in the UK and France."
this isn't true, if you geo-target them in GWMT you'll get rankings in their regions regardless of where your servers are located.

Why some websites can rank the keywords they don't have in the page?
Hello guys, Yesterday, I used SEMrush to search for the keyword "branding agency" to see the SERP. The Liquidagency ranks 5th on the first page. So I went to their homepage but saw no exact keywords "branding agency", even in the page source. Also, I didn't see "branding agency" as a top anchor text in the external links to the page (from the report of SEMrush). I am an SEO newbie, can someone explain this to me, please? Thank you.

Hi, "Null" is appearing as top keyword in Google search console > Google Index > Content Keywords for our site http://goo.gl/cKaQ4K . We do not use "null" as keyword on site. We are not able to find why Google is treating "null" as a keyword for our site. Is anyone facing such issue. Thanks & Regards

Google Rankings Are Dancing What To Do?
I was been ranking on page no.3 for many of my keywords. Suddenly they all dropped to Page No.9& Page no.10. Now 10 days back one of my keyword got back to page no.4 & now suddenly today it went back to page no.9 again. I haven't done any changes to the site. My page speed is less than 4secs. Checked everything & all seems fine. No errors or manual actions notification in Webmaster too. Should i wait for the rankings dance to get over or should i start doing something. Currently i am planning to get fresh pages with good content added to the website for the whole month of July. Suggest me what to do?

.COM or .ORG - Which is better?
I work for a non-profit association. We currently use a .com as our primary, but also own the .org. Should we switch to the .org address? What would the benefits be?

Why? Keyword ranking on Google go under and down regularly
I have a group of keyword that constantly move within the Google SERP. One week they are in the top 3 spots the next they fall down to position 7+ (in some cases they even fall 20 places) then after this they eventually go back to their most regular position within the top 3 spots. Can anyone please explain why this keep happening?
