Best numbers but 6th position
-
Hi.. I'm trying to understand your system but even watching the video tutorial you never said anything about the icons (checked gray) that appears in Difficult reports.
And another question.
Do you have any idea about WHY we have the Best Page Authority, Page Linking, domain authority and Root domain Linking Root Domains and we are are the 6th place on ranking..
We used to be at the 1st for years and not we are going down..
Thank you

I'd work towards making a great user experience on the site. Look at improving title tags, calls to action, improve the descriptions of the properties and some additional content. Personally I'd remove the ad-sense
-
If you were me where would you work at?
-
That would seem like a pretty decent load time - anything sub 2 would be on the right lines.
-
Got it! I'll try to improve that, Do you think that 1 to 1.5 seconds is too long for a user to navigate?
Out time Never reaches 2 seconds for page to be fully loaded.
Tks Michael

DA - Domain Authority
PA - Page Authority
This is a great whiteboard Friday that will help you understand more on this: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/whiteboard-friday-domain-authority-page-authority-metrics

Page load speed was a factor Google mentioned they take into consideration a couple of years ago, so as standard you should look into this - not just for Googles sake and the sake of your ranking, but to make the site a pleasant experiance for your users.
As I mentioned, back this up with decent content.

Hi Michael.. thank you for your answer!
I can imagine how busy the SEUmoz are everyday.. Its ok!
Thank you for the explanation about the checked area... I got it now!
About the results.. I really don't know whats going on! We've been at 1st for years and now going to 6th and going down and down!
We did focus the time the user stay online and actually is about 4~6 minutes which is very good in our segment.. and We'll try to improve that still more.
And whats is the DA and PA bytheway, Michael?
thank you so much
-
Humm... I got it..thank you... It seems like I need to do something to improve the results... We focus on the way the user uses our website, the time that the user stay navigating and things like that.. I really don't know whats going on!
But do you think that the server speed really counts at the point of setting the site to 6th?
tks
-
The guys at SEOmoz usually do get back to you, sometimes there is a delay as they get pretty busy.
The grey checked area - you mean the ticks in your example? This is highlighting the website that has been deemed as having the best metric of the sampled sites.
Not looked into your site, but there could be some reasons that you are in 6th even though you appear to have 'better' metrics than the sites above you.
Its also worth noting that DA, and PA are just measurements. Generally having higher scores for all three are a good indicator that you should rank higher, buts its not a guarantee.
You should focus on producing some compelling content add it to your site. Be consistent with it, and then be patient.

Organic rankings are based on many additional factors (server speed, engagement, usability) and so on that may not be factored in with the 4 metrics mentioned.
-
Hi Michael. Yes.. I've been looking for an answer but didn't get it.. I'll try to continue trying to found out.
the "gray checked" icon.. I don't know what exactly that means...

Approach to synonym keywords when you already rank in position #0 and #1
Hello community! My site cryochambers.com is ranked #0 and #1 for the most important keyword in the cryotherapy industry:
Keyword Research | | Nobody1599597270247
"cryo chamber": page A
"cryo chamber cost": page A
"cryotherapy chamber": page B A couple new keyword are also trending now:
"cryogenic" replaces "cryotherapy"
"machine" replaces "chamber" I would be most grateful if you can suggest an approach to also rank #1 and #0 with the variants? FYI:

How do I find out what low-volume keywords are best to target?
Since many of our products and services are purpose-built for a niche community, I find that many of the keywords I am researching are all low-volume. Data on the Keyword Difficulty Tool show '0' under Bing Search Volume (exact match). I know what my competitors are targeting based on their title tags and web content, but I'm not sure if they did their keyword research homework, so I don't want to assume. Is there any other way to determine which keywords I should be targeting?

9600 exact searches position 3 but only 125 clicks????
Seeing something a little strange on one of my clients sites. They are position 3 in Google and the only result on the page Google Authorship installed on their site. Exact match terms in the UK via Keywords tool are 9600 yet they only get 125 clicks on average for the month. There rank has not changed in the last 3 months and they have had a solid position 3.

Best practice for targeting 'unnatural' location based keyword phrases
When optimising for a local based service, lets say a painter in texas, you will have various keyword phrases which are relevant e.g Texas painter Painter in Texas Painter Texas I have found that often the phrase which has the most searches is: [Service] [Location] = ('Painter Texas' in this example) But unlike the other phrases this is very hard to work into a natural sounding sentence or heading. Is the best practice to try and target the unnatural sounding phrase anyway due to the higher search volume, or target the next one down to stay natural sounding in your copy? thanks d

Are the Volume numbers from the Keyword Difficulty Tool identical to Google Adwords Keyword Tool?
I use the Keyword Difficulty Tool daily. Because of the troubles with Google's API I can no longer see the search volumes. I still want to use the tool for difficulty numbers because I think this is a much better number than the Google Adwords Competitive bar. If I use the Adwords keyword tool for volume numbers, will that be sufficient? Is this the same as what Moz usually provides? If no, where is the best place to gather volume numbers? Thanks!

Best Keyword Research Tool / Strategy / Approach?
Currently, I list every root word (one word) I can think of for the client. Then start a 2 word keyword section, making every possible connection with my root words. Then move to 3 word, 4 word, and so on. I do this all in a word document and by hand. Does anybody have ANYTHING (tool/strategy) that does something similar? I'm looking for anything that can expedite this process. My manual method makes me feel like I'm always forgetting certain combinations of words.
