Opengraph or Schema.org - What is your preference?
-
Just wondering whether Mozzer's have a preference when marking up rich snippets.
I have just added Opengraph as per a Whiteboard Friday presentation suggesting that Google will use the meta data as well as schema, mainly for purposes of socially sharing the website details, and I have also used Schema for marking up an address, telephone number, and email.
Is this the right way to do things?
What are your thoughts?

May as well kick-start the responses! I'm a Schema fan, it's easy to implement and gives Google and other search engines the information they need.
I don't think you need to be too concerned about one over the other so long as your microformat is, in an of itself, correctly implemented. An advantage of using Schema is that you can use Google Webmaster Tool to check your rich snippet so you have confidence to know it's done right.
But I'm just one opinion

Ecommerce Preferred URL Structure for Printing Website
Hello Mozers! We are adding an ecommerce functionality to our existing website.
Technical SEO | | CheapyPP
Our company offers a wide range of commercial printing and mail services. We have done a pretty good job over the years in building content both in terms of our print offerings and blog section highlighting those offerings. We have finally bit the bullet and have decided to add end-to end ecommerce functionality. Users will be able to price, pay, upload and order thru our website. My question to the community becomes which sub folder do we use?
The ecommerce functionality is a third part software and needs to sit in a sub folder and we can't seem to find a good fit. Most of our content pages for print items are something like this www.website/printing/ - pillar page examples of url structure for sub pages www.website/printing/flyer-printing/
www.website/printing/booklet-printing/
www.website/printing/door-hangers/
www.website/printing/business-cards/ Options would be order-printing/ or prints/ So we we thinking /orders/ would be the best but not certain and wanted some feedback from the community. If we did go this route the url structure would be: order/business-cards this would be the default econ page order/business-cards/full-uv-coaing-both-sides individual product page What are your thoughts? Schema for blogs
When I run a wordpress blog through the structured data testing tool I see that there is @type hentry. Is this enough for blogs etc? Is this a result of Wordpress adding in this markup? Do you recommend adding @blogposting type and if so why? What benefit to add a specific type of schema? How does it help in blogging? Thanks

Secure and non-secure Schema.org Markup?
Is it possible to have schema.org itemtypes for both secure and insecure ports? I run a static-ish site made in Jekyll, and am implementing Schema.org on the individual pages. As a result, I'm trying to use the following: This doesn't validate with Google's Rich Snippet Tool. It doesn't register the Items as existing. Is there a good way to implement Schema.org in a static page hosted on both SSL and non-SSL ports?

Implementing Schema.org Metadata for Reviews
Does anyone have much experience implementing Schema.org metadata for reviews? I run and operate a website that reviews study abroad programs and we've started the process of implementing this code to receive rich SERP snippets. We're going to use the framework used here: http://schema.org/Review My main question is how long does it generally take to see the results? I would also like to hear from people who implemented this code, but ran into problems, and how they overcame them. Any other tips and advice would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, Andrew
