In the middle of Link Building campaign! Do you think Dog Blogs are a good Idea?
-
Hello Again,
Here's I thing, my main website is my Digital Web Agency www.FenwayMedia.co.uk but I also hold good affinity with dog lovers on Facebook over 2100 friends and have a website www.Sepperro.com dedicated to my kennel of 9 racing Siberian huskies.
In return I would give them exposure to my dog mediums (articles, links etc.) My only slight concern was relevance. However my thinkning is that as a Digital Agency surely you would be expected to have links coming from all sorts of sources as you "may" have had some input into the development of their site/ marketing etc.
What do you guys think?
Thank you once again.
Kind Regards,
Craig

Yup,
Thats what I thought guys, I have been checking page rank and only targeting those between PR3-6. I also have a Siberian Huslky website because I have nine dogs, so instead of it being a two way link I am offering posts in my Husky site and links back from there coupled with advertising on my Facebook page which houses over 2,000 dog lovers. So I do most certainly want to give something back but it a way that will be most beneficial to the cause.
Thanks for looking.

You are right Craig, as a Digital Agency you should expect to get links from divers topics. As Ben mentioned this will be ok if it's part of a balanced link-building campaign. I would also make sure that they link back using different anchor text and perhaps to different pages on your site, not just the home page. Another thing to take into consideration is the strength of those blogs. Having a bunch of new links from PR 0 pages can look spammy and not have much value.

As part of a balanced campaign I don't see a problem with getting links from dog blogs.
In your shoes I'd make sure I had other more relevant links as well but if the dog blogs are easy enough to get and you just want a few links then go for it.

What impact has external links reported as http503
Hello I have 72 external broken links who are reported with a http 503 status. When I ask the owner of that site, he confirmed he has removed it from GA by using this status. My question is. Does this have an impact for the quality of my site? The site is available, there is no delay when you open the link. Thank you for your support. br

All ranked pages on Googles SERP only links to home
I got a problem regarding my website called musik.dk, and hope you guys are able to help. I just got my first ranking results from Moz. My question is: All my keywords are linking to the home page, and not the artist page? For examples if I were to search on Rihanna on Google, then when musik.dk appears on the SERP, it only links to the home, and not musik.dk/rihanna.. This problem applies to all the given artists ranked on Googles SERP, it never shows the artist page itself, only links to home. Let me know if you need any information, and I gladly supply, this is kind of frustrating to me.. As a note: all pages besides the home has a PA of 1, and it doesn't really seem to change. Is there a tool on Moz or out on the internet that does bad link checker
I'm still pretty new to this and I was wondering if there is a free software, one of Moz or free out on the the internet that allows you to check bad links. I've done a lot of link building with citations and directories that for my clients industry. I just don't want to add their website and profile to a bad/risky directory and it penalizes my clients. I've seen a few out there, but I need one that is respectable and reliable. Any suggestions? I found one called bad neighborhood http://www.bad-neighborhood.com/text-link-tool.htm. No internal links showing up in OpenSiteExplorer report
Hi there A simple one. I was just looking at our site in opensiteexplorer and notice that it says we have no internal links at all: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s244/sh/dd8cc88f-fee4-4ba2-8ec0-f3f8d5c408db/8d3fc3d2aa6fc9d5406051bc91731402 Rather odd as we do. Is this a bug with OSE that anyone knows about or something else? Any ideas / thoughts gratefully received.
