Where should breadcrumbs point
-
Hi,
On the single product page I such breadcrumbs structure:
Home > Women's Shoes > Sandals > Nike > The Name of Shoe
Where should the "Nike" part point?
- To the main "Nike" brand page?
- Or to the "Women's Nike Sandals" page?
At first glance the second variant is more logical, any reason why Zappos links to the main brand page, e.g.: http://www.zappos.com/hudson-amber-raw-edge-hem-short-in-indie-indie ?
I'd be very grateful if someone experienced with this stuff will explain.
Thank you!

Hi Dmitry,
It should point to the Womens Nike Sandals page because if that is the path the customer has taken to get to the shoe brand page, they may want to go back a step and they would probably want to go back to the generic womens nike sandals page.
Breadcrumb is usually created by the path the user takes but it can be changed if you REALLY want it to, but I wouldn't advise it.

After 301 redirection non-English keyword points to English language pages
We had multilingual website on .co.uk domain and somewhere in April, we've done 301 redirection from domain1.co.uk pages which were in Polish language to domain2.com/pl domain and now for some Polish keywords Google SERP sometimes shows English pages (.com) and sometimes polish pages (.com/pl). Previously co.uk/en had English content and that got redirected to .com. What could be the reason? Thank you for all responses.

The links pointed to a multilanguage site, should increase the DA? (Wordpress question inside)
We are planning to make our site available to several language, using the plugin WPML in Wordpress. The site should look with /es/, /fr, etc. If someone point to an URL in the spanish version, the english version get any benefit from it? (better search ranking or something like that). Some side question: WPML works fine with SEO and Moz?

Breadcrumb markup
Hey there, just a brief opinion question: Do you see any benefit of adding schema.org structured data markup to my breadcrumbs if they are already displaying in SERPs without markup? Are there mayble other long term benefits to using the markup even if I will not notice any short-term effect in SERPs? Cheers, Jochen

Rich snippets for multiple breadcrumbs
Hey there,
On-Page Optimization | | Supertramp
I have been playing around with rich snippets for multiple breadcrumbs for quite a bit now - without any success. It would be great if someone could point me to an example where this has been implemented correctly. I followed the Google recommendation but it doesn't seem to work for me. Breadcrumbs keyword repeats
Hi I have a client project who's developers platform is populating the category part of the breadcrumbs with the header tag. Since these include the pages primary target keywords/phrase they are being repeated in the breadcrumbs increasing the keyword/phrase count on the page as well as repeating/duplicating the sentence. Can this cause problems ? or not because Google knows its not part of the page content/body copy (because its a breadcrumb) ? Cheers Dan

Advice about resource points
Hi there, We're an online booking portal for the hair and beauty industry, and also provide salon management software. We're thinking of creating a separate subdomain on the main site, probably along the lines of salons.example.com as a resource point and advice centre for salons. In it, I was thinking of featuring links and extracts from various blog posts I've written on salon marketing, downloadable white papers and featured videos we've created - a sample of each that you can click through to get all the bits on one page i.e. you click a see all vids bit to be taken to a page with all the vids on it. This is very much conceptual at the moment (though we do have a fair number of resources on the blog and the like), but I'd love it all to be drawn into a helpful section for salons. I'd love to hear what you think about it and whether there are some other ways we might look into doing this. No right answers, hoping for a bit of a debate/advice around resource centres. Thanks a million!

70 Domain Names Point to 70 Nearly Identical Inner Webpages
I have a new SEO client; his website has never been optimized. There are 70 domain names involved with this one website. Each domain name points to an exact replica of the main page, other than the fact that a small content box has different info in it, and sometimes the header graphic is different. So, 70 webpages that are 5% different from each other and 5% different from the main page. How badly is this issue affecting this website's ability to rank well, and what is the best way to solve this?
