Sean is right. Earning the #1 spot on Google is the first step. You need to constantly focus SEO in order to keep your position. The SEO algorithms are constantly being adjusted and these changes may have a positive or negative on your site, and the sites of your competitors.
You also need to understand that everyone else on the first page would like to take the #1 spot from you, and they hire SEO specialists with the specific instructions "do what is needed to get the #1 spot".
You have opportunities for improvement on your current page. Focus on your SEO and you can get the #1 spot back:
-
Your current title for the "used-cars" page with is in the #2 spot is: "Used Cars for sale in Pakistan, Find Used Suzuki, Toyota, Honda and more | Pakwheels". A lot of that can be moved to your description. I would recommend either "Used Cars | Pakwheels" or "Used Cars for sale in Pakistan | Pakwheels". Too many words in your title dilutes the importance of your key words.
-
In your footer you of your "used cars" page you offer a link to another "used cars" page. It is actually the same page but the URL is different and you have not added the canonical tag to your pages. Unless you have went in to Google WMT and specifically set up your parameter settings Google may not handle this well. You should be very consistent with your links and anchor text.
-
You use the H1 tag 3 times on the page. By design, the H1 tag is meant to be used once per page. The other tags should be H2 or something different.
There are other opportunities but these are just a few that stood out for me. Good luck.

The most iikely reason is that your competitors have made changes to their sites and/or back links. Do you use Seomoz to run comparisons between your site and that of your competitors? This might give you an insight into changes..

How to determine if you have same site pages competing for rankings?
One of my client's sells career assessment tests / personality tests. The site includes a shop with detailed product pages for the tests and also has lengthy informational pages describing the science behind the different tests, etc as they are pretty indepth and hard to understand for someone who is new to them. The site also includes a blog that has 500 or more posts, all career related... some of them referencing products. My concern is: We'd like the product or information pages to rank for SERPs. Some of the blog posts are ranking instead for their top target keywords. My question is: Is there an easy way to determine which pages on a site are competing for the same keyword? And what is the best way to correct this issue and ensure the correct page gets targeted? I was thinking adding a noindex to the pages would be the best way. Advice is greatly appreciated!

Optimizing Webpages for Keywords- Using Text Links to Distribute Internal Page Rank
My Manhattan based commercial real estate firm hired an SEO firm. The company conducted a content audit, created a keyword matrix and suggested optimizing 51 pages for specific keywords. A specific price per page was quoted, which I understand and accept. I was under thought that setting up internal text links to redistribute page rank and thereby improve ranking for competitive terms was included in the price. But this task was not included in their quote. I really want to avoid getting nickeled and dimed to death. Should this cost be included, or legitimately is setting up the internal link structure something that is an additional expense? If this task is legitimately an extra, how labor intensive is it? A lit bit of extra time when re-writing pages or a completely different task that would be quite time consuming? Also, I believe the flow of page rank within a site can have a big effect on ranking, so setting up internal links is critical. Are these assumptions correct? For some background, www.nyc-officespace-leader.com gets 4,500 organic visits per month. Google Page Rank is 2 and the site was hit by Panda in 2012 but has partially recovered. I would really appreciate some insight from the MOZ community. I do not want to pay too much or too little for these services. THANKS, Alan

Good evening, I hava a questiong regardin the ranking after 10th August. I hava an online tire shop and the ranking has changed that means I was on the first position on search term "anvelope" and now I am on the 3 rd place. I have unique content, few duplicate content and still in front of my site there are sites with huge duplicate content and not so unique. Is it a coincidence that the position has changed on the 10 August or I was affected by Emanuel? How Emanuel update can affect an online tire shop? In other city's I am on the firs place. My site is www.anvelope.ro Thank's Florin

What's the best way to find ranking keywords and phrases?
What's the best way to find ranking keywords and phrases? I have tried Google Keyword Tool but it just doesn't do the job for me (or I'm using it wrong). My main focus is people who are looking for energy saving tricks, but I'm not sure if this is the right keyword / keyphrase. The goal of this question is not to get other people to do the research for me, but rather to find the right tools and usage of those tools for the job.
