What is an infographic? And how is it used for SEO?
-
I've heard the term used in some of the webinars hosted on SEOMOZ and tried googling the term with no results. What the heck is this? And how is it good for SEO?
-
Visual Economics pretty much explains it all. 97th Floor is the king of infographics if you ask me.

It's the new form of what we like to call linkbait. People love infographics, and they like to be the first to discover new ones and share them with their friends. Then everyone tweets and retweets about them, posts Facebook statuses about them, links to them from their blogs, and before you know it, it's gone viral.
http://dailyinfographic.com/ is a site with just infographics. Usually they contain a lot of related data, charts, and graphs, laid out in an eye-pleasing and engaging way, all in one gigantic image.

Informational Graphics.
Part information. Part graphics.
Examples:

They're popular. They look good. They can convey complex information in a simple visual format. And you can attach alt keyword text.

Does having our products on Amazon or EBay help with our SEO ranking?
We have an ecommerce web site, which ranks ok , but we are trying to build up our SEO scores. We're looking at links and were wondering if having our products listed on either Amazon or Ebay (or both) will actually help with ranking of our site? We sometimes have products listed on ebay with a reference to the higher price that the item is selling for on our main site. Thank you.

Seo industry for seasonal items
Just wondering what type of link building people do for seasonal sites take http://www.sukkahworld.com or http://www.wreathsgalore.com as an example Out of season nobody wants to talk about a Christmas wreath. Do you just a get links off topic or focus on on site content and then get all your links during your season?

What are the benefits of SEO?
If a client asks "why should I spend time and money on SEO?", how would you answer? Is "to be found in search engines" the answer? If so, wouldn't it be more cost effective to use PPC instead of SEO? Is link building a waste of time and money? Is it better to just concentrate on quality content?

Best SEO Bang For Buck from $1000
I'm a developer with little SEO / Marketing skills. I've recently redesigned my site ( www.habitmix.com ), I think the site is great but it doesn't get a lot of organic search traffic (about 30 visits a day). I have $1000 available to spend in next couple of weeks and am wondering what the best way to use the money would be. I realize SEO is a long term process not a one time job, and I realize $1000 isn't a big budget. So far I am considering : Finding someone on ODesk to create blog content, say a post a day for a month Finding an SEO company to analyse the site and create a link building strategy for me to execute. Surely there are a lot of other ways I could spend my $1000 that would help grow organic traffic. Any suggestions appreciated. Cheers Sam
