Which landing page is used to calculate "Landing Page Experience" of a keyword in Adwords?

In Google Adwords, one ad group can have multiple landing pages, yet keywords are shared.
So when I look at the keywords, they use one of the landing pages from ads, but which one?
Shall we create separate ad groups and set only one landing page per group to avoid this problem? If this is the way then how come landing page is not a shared property like the keywords in ad groups?
I hope someone with enough Google Adwords experience can help me here.

learn to use the editor...its much faster than the UI.
when you first launch a campaign, you will start out with a quality score of 5....middle of the road. i recommend starting out with exact, phrase & broad modified match types....leave broad match paused. broad match will generate lots of impressions that are only 'somewhat related' to your keyword...this will in turn lower you ctr, conversion rate & quality score.
also start out with high bids that keep you ads above position 3. you want to start out on top of the page and with a high ctr and high quality score. then as time goes by, you can lower bids for non performing keywords. its much better to start with a high quality score, than to start out low and work your way up. this costs a little in the short term, but will benefit you in the long run

When you are setting up your columns in the Keywords tab, there should be an addtional "Destination URL" option. You can pull this column to the top of the list (for ease of sight) and assign a specific URL to the keyword.
You can also do this in the AdWords Editor which for me is easier than dealing with the interface.

Thanks, but I don't see anyway to setup a landing page based on the keyword. How can I do that?
Secondly this is a new campaign so we don't have a CTR at all at the moment, should we just launch like this and optimize as we go?

landing page experience is calculated from the destination url...however the are 2 destination urls..one at the text ad level and the other at the keyword level. The reason adwords allows this is to allow flexibility for the advertiser. For example, you might have 1 ad group for Shoes. all keywords in this group behave similarly, similar CPC, conversion rate, etc....Keyword red shoes point to dest url of www.domain.com/redshoes. However keyword blue shoes point to www.domain.com/blueshoes. You can still have these keywords in 1 ad group, with different destination urls if you set destination url at the keyword level.
Keyword destination url trumps text ad url.
I assume you are concerned with Quality Score, since you are looking at Landing page experience..... You really need to focus on Click Thru Rate, since this is the primary metric used to determine Quality Score.

Thanks a lot, if this is the common usage it seems like Adwords designed horribly. It's still not clear which landing page it takes if there are multiple landing pages but I understand the workaround is sticking with one landing page per adgroup, I wonder why that's not mandatory as design.

Google evaluates the landing page as the page you link to in that keywords specific ad.
So, what I did. Was create a list of keywords I want to advertise for for each of my pages. (Example attached)
Then I named the ad group the name of the name of the landing page like custom-rubber-compounds.html
Keywords: rubber compound, custom compounds, compounding process
Now all these keywords are linked to our custom-rubber-compounds.html page. Since they all use the same ad Google evaluates that landing page for each keyword.

Will Google penalise me if i noindex lots of pages?
Hey everyone.. I hope you can help! I have optimised my product landing pages for SEO keywords based on volumes. I've been doing PPC for 3 months now and I can see that a lot of the keywords which drive clicks are not showing as high volume in the SEO volumes. My Adwords quality scores for these PPC keywords are low, 6&7 /10... So this leaves me with a predicament - do I 1. Re-optimise my LP's for PPC instead of SEO keywords?

2. Create new LP's just for PPC and no index them? (I could use DKI to good effect here I think thus reducing the necessity to have multiple LP's targeting numerous PPC keywords) But my concern was this... will Google frown on me having lots of similar LPs but only 1 indexed? Moving from old GTM to New Version of GTM - Analytic & Adwords transaction and revenue stop refelecting

Locate Poorly Trending Keywords in AdWords
At the campaign level I see my CTR has been suffering for the last week or two relative to the past few months. It could be a few bad actors casing the downward trend. How can I quickly and easily locate specific keywords that are trending in the wrong direction? Why filters will not work... They don't take change into account. I want to identify Keywords that were once doing well are now doing poorly. Filters will yield all keywords that are doing poorly which is not what I'm looking for. Obviously I could be missing something with filters but this is my understanding. A few other points to note... I have search partners turned on. I do not want to take this traffic into account in my analysis. I'd also like to determine if it might be an ad that's not performing as well as it once was. I assume the same method used to find poorly trending keywords can be applied to ads as well but if not, is there a solution for this?

2 websites, similar content, adwords placement
Hi - I have 2 sites in a clients adwords account which are based on the same subject, with unique content on the same subject. We're using 2 unique ads, each using the same keywords, 1 bidding fractionally lower than the other, and are trying to do is get them appearing 1 & 2, but at the moment I I can't even get them to appear on the same page. Are we competing against ourselves or is Google seeing the content as too similar to show both?

Poor performing adwords account - would a new account on a different subdomain be a good way to start a fresh?
Hi We have a client who has a poor performing adwords account and has suggested starting a new account with a different gmail account, different card details and a different subdomain. More specifically we will be using unbounce to create landing pages. I was wondering the following: Will Google be able to relate the new account to the old account? If so will they then use the old accounts history with regards to quality score etc...? The keywords being targeted are in and around "email marketing" which is highly competitive - would a new account struggle at first and need to bid excessively high because of lack of history? They have a high budget - does this affect how quickly and how Google looks at an account - will they get priority? Would it be better to scrap this idea and pause the old campaign and start new campaigns in the same adwords account? Would it be better to scrap this idea and repair the existing campaigns/ad groups? Keen to get people's thought's on this one as I can't seem to find a clear cut answer from the web. Thanks Anthony

Is a $100 adwords credit appropriate here
Hello, A long time ago we set up an Adwords campaign for our company on my sister's personal Adwords account. My sister would like us to set up a new account under a business email for the new Adwords keyword research we want to do. Is using a $100 coupon appropriate for our new account? I honestly don't want to use it if it's against Google's policy. And is there anything else I need to keep in mind as far as fees or requirements in setting up a new account and/or using the coupon? Running Adwords Campaigns to show Improvement in Organic Traffic
Hi mozers, I have a new client who contacted because his organic traffic dropped all of a sudden from 5000 visits per month to 300 visits per month. I have been reviewing his website profile and there are several reasons that take me to beleave the agency that managed his account until 3 months ago, was doing PPC to show improvement in the orgranic (SEO Service) traffic. 1. The Website was showing traffic for several highly competitive keywords 2. Most of the traffic 95% was driven to the home page with several groups of keywords 3. The website has just a few external links with anchor text not related to keywords sending traffic. Is anyone familiar with this type of practice? Thanks in advanced.
